Carlton Mellick 2 - Biographical Abstracts

Each work is a riddle. Cryptically depicting a persons life through clues and codes. I challenge the viewer to determine the subject of each work. I first came up with the idea of a 'biographical abstract' about 12 years ago but could not produce the look I felt was needed. Then being heavily influenced by the works of Jean Michel Basquiat, I brought the elements together and began producing a series of these paintings. Riddle 4.0 is fairly easy. Scroll down for clues. The Biographical Abstract concept is an original idea that I have been working on for some time. It affords a great range of artistic expression and it has some marketing and educational aspects behind it. I have been very pleased with the all the positive comments I have received.
